Site plan

The site is well thought of.....

1.Most of the paths of the Brooklyn Bridge Park is directly facing my entrance of the building's main purpose -- Music and Fashion Institution with public bar and cafe.

2. I specifically placed the other entrance on the opposite side because its first floor's use compliments dining which is the same as the first floor of the buildings across the street.

3. My outdoor space is not only elevated but circular thus giving occupants a sort of panoramic view spanning the edge of the city to the Brooklyn bridge. 

4. Done purposefully, I placed the auditorium or main public attraction in the middle of the building with the stage in the direction of the waterfront thus channeling occupants' attention to the waterfront always. 

5. I did not want my building to blend in with the surrounding ones suggesting 'development' one of my key parti words. As the neighborhood is known for its historic background I want tourists and park users to embrace technology and development and also to show that they can compliment each other in the fact that my building seems lightweight in comparison to the heavy box brick forms. 

6. The height of the building also does not exceed requirements thus allowing these historic attractions to penetrate their meaning, strength and power above mine. I did this utilizing the cellar floor.

TRYING OUT THE SITE WITH MY MODEL

As you can see, I placed my building entrance facing Manhattan (the City of New York). The water front and park can be easily seen from the cafe and bar lounge.

Changes

I changed the orientation of theater to accommodate for better entrance. The plans are more complete with every room accessible to users. 

I also made major changes on the right entrance of the building. I split the elevators to each side of the escalators thus opening up a great lobby entrance towards the bar and lounge on the first floor. 

Working on the model....finished inserting changes from floor plans materials to be added soon. My intentions is to obtain sections from the model

Continuing to work on my floor plans

I am continuing to work on my floor plans. Some stairs and elevators were not working and the movement through the building so I made some changes. This is still not as completed as I would like it and I am still working on it.
